Other than a few mix-ups and at times frustrating I was overall happy and appreciative of the service.
great hospital
Basically told on the phone "what did you expect us to do"
Went docs the next day who then sent me A&E
Very rude on the phone and made me feel worse than i already did about a condition he didnt even know anything about
The 111 call was very good and requested that I was seen by west lancs within 2 hours.
I waited for a call with appointment time and after 4 hours I rang 111 again.
They followed this up for me and I got a call from someone ( I assume a doctor but they didn’t say) 1.5 hours later. I wasn’t seen at all. ( after 5.30 pm) by which time all local chemists had closed ( bank holiday) I had to travel 30 miles each way to collect a prescription.
I needed a doctor to prescribe me some medication that i had accidentally ran of. I was given the wrong information on 3 occasions telling me that a prescription would be sent to my pharmacy. Apparently because my tablets are a controlled drug a doctor needs to access me and write a script out. So i was told it would be dealt with within two hours this was at 11am the doctor never actually rang me until 8.30pm which by this time I'd managed to get some off a friend which i know isn't ideal but i was left without any other choice.
I waited 5 hours for somebody to call me back.
I was also told that I would be sent self-care information (whilst waiting for a GP to call) but this didn’t happen.

Gentlemen who answered was very helpful and reassuring
Called 111 for advice. Was sent to OOH. Came away with no answers or guidance, except to go to A&E if unsure. Whole point of 111 service is surely to avoid needless A&E attendance.
I received great care and felt listen too
